(Updated) Did you know…

that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently issued a final rule that requires institutional review boards (IRBs) to register through a system maintained by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)? While the FDA’s requirement may be new, Vanderbilt’s IRBs have already been registered with HHS for quite a while in accordance with our Federalwide Assurance (FWA). If your sponsor is asking you if your IRB is registered, please direct them to THIS LINK and have them search for “Vanderbilt.”

The link to the FDA website is not working. I need confirmation/documentation for our files of your IRB registration with the FDA. We are a CRO and Vanderbnilt University is participating in one of our Oncology trials. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Linda

Since our original blog post, the assurance website has changed. You can click the link in the post or you can copy the URL shown below and paste it into your browser. On the assurance page, you can search the database for Vanderbilt to locate our information.
